Richard Art Henderson, 89, was born May 21st, 1927 in Everman Texas. He passed away at Paradise Cove Assisted Living. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Brandon Henderson of Yuma, Arizona, his daughter, Diana Katheryn (Doug) Henderson Tomlinson of Fort Worth, Texas and brother, Raymond (Virginia) Henderson of Crowley, Texas. He is also survived by his grandson, Matthew (Morgan) Tomlinson of Fort Bragg, North Carolina as well as 3 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) Thomas Henderson and Nancy (Kate) Katherine Walraven Henderson and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Richard retired as an electrician from North Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He moved to Yuma in the late 1990's to be near wife's family. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Yuma. His hobbies included being a member of square dancing organizations, life member of Elks (BPOE-Flagstaff) for 43 years, enjoyed traveling in his RV through the 48 states in the continental U.S. for the last 45 years. Graveside services will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church at 598 S. 7th Avenue, Yuma, Arizona, 85364.
