Richard was born on May 21, 1923 and passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016.
Richard was a resident of Kingsport at the time of his passing.
he graduated, in three years due to World War II, from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Electronic/Electrical Engineering. In college, he participated in ROTC, Rifle Club, Blue Key and started the Penn State Engineer Magazine.
He was married to Virginia Collum.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Glen Moody officiating.
Graveside Service will follow in The Garden of Everlasting Life at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers, Harry Barry, Dave Cornell, Tom Hulse, Collum Hunter, Chris Morrison, and Steve Evans.
The care of Richard G. Devaney and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
