WOONSOCKET - Richard Carlino, 97, of Woonsocket, died Oct. 14, 2016 in The Friendly Home. He was the husband to his beloved late wife of 71 years, Rita D. (Laferriere) Carlino. Born in Sicily, he was the son of the late Deigo and Vencenza (Puzzungara) Carlino. Mr. Carlino worked as an electrician for Blackstone Valley Electric, now National Grid, for 45 years, retiring in 1981. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, and enjoyed golfing in his younger years. He is survived by his brother, Angelo Carlino of Woonsocket, as well as several nieces and nephews, including Jennie Bergeron and her husband Bob of Woonsocket. He was the brother of the late Charles Carlino and Mary Losardo. His funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, beginning with visitation at 8:30 a.m. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, 128 Greene St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone.
