Rex Clarence Hankins Jr.
Rex Clarence Hankins Jr. was born to Rex and Eleanor Hankins on January 28, 1955, in San Jose, CA, and passed surrounded by family on April 10, 2017, in Everett, WA. Rex is survived by his children, Daniel Crosby, Jesse Hankins and Kacie Hankins; and his sister, Cheri Hankins Olney. Rex and his family moved to Edmonds, WA, in 1970 and he attended Woodway High School. Rex received his barber license and ran a beauty salon with his wife, Lori for a number of years. A life long lover of music, Rex was a talented guitarist, playing in a number of bands in many local venues in San Jose in his teens as well as the Seattle, WA, area in his adult years. Horticulture became a big part of his life as an adult and he could often be found working around his yard. The family ask that all donations be sent to Providence Hospice. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Edmonds Center for the Arts from 5-8 p.m.
