GEORGETOWN Rebecca Leer Cannon, 97, widow of Charles Emery Cannon, passed away Fri, Jan 6, 2017 in Georgetown, KY. She was born Aug 15, 1919 in Georgetown, KY to the late Howard Leer and Henry Etta Champe Leer. Becky was a member of Oxford Christian Church. She sold real estate and was a former partner in Elkhorn Heritage Real Estate. She loved wood working and was an avid farmer in her lifetime. She retired from the ASC Office. Becky is survived by niece, Etta Manor, and nephew, James H. Leer IV, both of Georgetown, KY, niece, Marilyn (Tom) Morrissey, of Chicago, IL, and other nieces and nephews, great nieces, Ashley Del Favero, Kaitlyn Morrissey, and great nephew, Sean Patrick Morrissey. She is also survived by special friends Bill and Willetta Bryant. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister, James Howard Leer and Martha Lou Leer. Visitation will be 4-8pm, Fri, at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. Services will be 11am, Sat., at the funeral home with Rev. Chris Cash officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lou Ann Williamson, Tina Bach, Tom Morrissey, Jim Leer, Sean Del Favero, Kevin Lutes, and Sean Patrick Morrissey. Honorary pallbearers are James Stone, Johnny Cannon, Bill Bryant, Willetta Bryant, Marie Probst, Jim Ewbank, R.C. Lynn, Henry Waits, John Kitchen, Wayne Brandenburg, and Ben Nutter.
