In memory of
Raymond Wasilko, age 77 of Lewes, DE passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2016, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes of ALS complications. He was born on February 9, 1939 in McKees Rocks, PA, son of the late Charles and Mary (Dyczko) Wasilko. Mr. Wasilko was a 1962 graduate of Penn State, after which he began a lifelong career as a project manager for the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, MD. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Orthodox Church in Lewes, DE, where he attended services for several years. Mr. Wasilko was a member of the Liberty B.A.S.S. Club for over 25 years, and a former Boy Scout Troop Leader. He enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening, golfing, and traveling, but more than anything, he cherished times spent with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, nephew, brother, and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mr. Wasilko is survived by his beloved wife since 10/5/1963, Carol (Belasco) Wasilko born in Pittsburgh, PA and a graduate of Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing; his three children: Christina, Daniel, and David; his only grandchild, Cora; his aunt, Johanna Dicko; one brother, and two sisters. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Janurary 14, 2017 at St. Andrew the Apostle Orthodox Church, 33384 Mackenzie Way, Lewes, DE, where friends may call beginning at 9:00 AM. A graveside service will be held in July at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD. All arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
