Born May 17, 1942, in Marietta, Oklahoma, to Raymond Sealy and Estelle Holt Sealy, Raymond D. Sealy, 74, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at his home in Chandler. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ray is survived by his wife, Fran Sealy; son, Ryan Sealy, of Dallas; stepson, Chad Ellis and wife Stefanie, of Chandler; stepdaughter, Meshia Powell and husband Rodney, of Brownsboro; sisters, Helen Ripple and husband Walt, of Frisco and LaWieta Leffingwell, of Plano; and grandchildren, who knew him as "Pappy," Tanner Powell, Madelyn Ellis and Meadow Ellis. He loved telling stories of all his travels while in the Navy. Communications served him well after retiring from AT&T after 37 1/2 years service. He loved life and fought to stay, but God was ready to take him home. Memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, 75701. Many thanks to all who helped take care of Ray. A private memorial is pending.
