NEWMARKET - Raymond LaBranche, 94, of Granite Street, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at Exeter Center. Born Sept. 26, 1922 in Newmarket, he was the son of Edward and Evelyn (Goulet)LaBranche. During World War II he served in the US Army as a French interpreter. Ray enjoyed dancing, painting, and working in the flower garden. Ray was a store manager at The First National Store and worked there for 22 years. He then worked in Dover at Morton's for 12 years and retired in 1995 from Farnham's. He was a member of the Robert G. Durgin A.L. Post #67, the Newmarket SeniorCitizens and St. Mary's Church. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Yvette (Dube) LaBranche of Newmarket; a son, Richard A. LaBranche and his wife Linda of Rochester; a daughter, Vivian Laney and her husband George of West Bradenton, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Lillian Dube of Rochester; nieces, nephews, many cousins and many special friends. SERVICES: A Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket.
