Raymond J. Jastrzembski
Raymond John Jastrzembski of Halifax, passed away on January 8, 2017. He was born and raised in Bellingham. The son of Polish immigrants, Raymond was born in 1930. He joined the army and served two years. He was an avid gardener who loved being outside. Raymond also had an excellent wealth of knowledge in the field of history. He had worked at Draper Bros. for many years as well. With his passion for a good conversation, he easily put a smile on anybodys face regardless of his or her mood. Truly unique, his kindness; thoughtfulness and consideration, made him an awesome human being. He had opened up many opportunities for Polish immigrants by welcoming them into his own home throughout the years. This gave many a chance to start a good life in this country. Raymond is survived by his sisters, Jennie Rademsky, 99, Anna Ravinski, 89, and was the brother to his late sister, Helen. Also he is survived by his two daughters, Irene and Wanda, and his four grandchildren, Derek, Jared, Zosia and Andrzej. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St., Rte. 14 and 58, Hanson, on Friday, January 13, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral home service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
