Raymond Leonard Henderson 1979 - 2017 Raymond Leonard Henderson, 37, of Springfield departed this life on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Raymond was born on July 3, 1979 in Springfield, Illinois the son of Jerome Henderson, Sr. and Teresa Henderson. Raymond accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized and reared in the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Lanphier High School and received an Associate's Degree in Business. Raymond lived his life to the fullest. He was a very intelligent young man who was born with an entrepreneur mind. He not only worked for his self but alongside his father in business. He had a strong interest for politics. He loved people; especially the youth and endeavored to be a help to them. He was determined to empower the people in the community and started his own organization "Life Support". He even had a heart for animals, especially dogs. He also liked various genres of music, he liked to rap and spend time with his family and friends. Raymond was truly the epitome of loving father; he cared for and raised his three daughters. His presence will be missed by all who knew him. Raymond leaves to cherish his loving memories: his parents: Jerome and Teresa Henderson of Springfield; daughters, Nykirra, Nykia and Nykeyla Henderson all of Springfield; companion, Nicholua Parks; sister, Bridgett (Van) Henderson-Lewis ofSpringfield; brother, Jerome Henderson, Jr. of Springfield; paternal grandmother, Mary McCoy of Springfield; special nieces, Charisa and Jerri Henderson; god daughter, Cheyenne Trotter; extended family: Alice Bailey, Jermaine Miller, Marcus, Malcolm, Tonya, Laquita and Sally Poole and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claudette and Raymond Kincaid, uncle, Dewayne Kincaid, special cousin, Mary Ellen Davis and best friend, Cory Miller. Services Celebrating his life will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with visitation one hour service. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery.
