Raymond Fuentes Sr.
FUENTES Sr., Raymond Lee Raymond Lee Fuentes Sr. was born in Dallas, Texas on March 25, 1936 and passed away on April 13, 2017. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; Manuel and Alma Fuentes and brother; Roger Fuentes. Raymond is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lynne Fuentes; children: Ramona Hyatt and husband James; Tonia Smith and husband Terry, Janie Davis and husband John, Raymond Fuentes Jr.; grand-children: Gene, Tiffani, Terrance, John, Jason, Ashlee, Ray, Audra, Jessyca, Taylor, Alex, Justin; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Cruz and husband Ernest, Sister-in-laws: Sharron Nichols and Darlene Fuentes and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond served in the Marine Corp. in the Korean War from 1953-1956. After Korea he became a business owner for the next 25 years before retiring to his favorite lake at Cypress Springs where he enjoyed the water and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Raymond was also a avid golfer and popular race car driver in the 60s and 70s spending many years at Devil's Bowl Speedway and a 32nd Mason Shriner. A visitation will be held for Raymond on Sunday April 16, 2017 from 5:00PM-7PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. Funeral Service will be on Monday April 17, 2017 at 1:00PM at Family Cathedral of Praise in Mesquite, Texas. Interment will be on Tuesday at 10:15AM at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
