Raymond Babb Funeral services for Mr. Raymond "Jewbaby" Babb will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Martin Catholic Church, Lecompte, Louisiana with Fr. Bruce Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Lecompte Cemetery, Lecompte, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana. Mr. Babb, age 86, of Lecompte, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in Grace Home. Raymond was a native & lifelong resident of Lecompte. He was a parishioner of St. Martin Catholic Church. He was a retired construction superintendent for T.L. James with over 45 years of service. After retirement, he went back to work for Beard Construction for a few more years. Raymond was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved gardening on his John Deere tractor and he also enjoyed having friends over to sit on the back porch and drink coffee. Mr. Babb is preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Barbara Babb; his brothers, Kent Babb, Edward "Hot" Babb; his grandchildren, Trey McLin III and Samuel Babin. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 33 years, Genny Buller Babb of Lecompte; his daughters, Annette McLin of Livingston, LA, Becky Savoy (John) of Lecompte, Pam Waller (Gary) of Vidalia, Renee Bates (Matt) of Pineville; his son, Greg Babin (Nicole) of Woodworth; his sisters, Geraldine "Teet" West of Lecompte, Barbara "Gal" Clifford of Lecompte; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Mathus Waller, Trevor Waller, Colby Buller, Brad Buller, Chad Buller, Jim Beard and Connor Basco. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Allen Beard, Johnny Dyer, Craig Buller, Vinnie Buller, Baby George Sanders and James Smith. Visitation will be at St. Martin Catholic Church, Lecompte, Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm and will resume on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 8:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Grace Home, Alexandria, LA.
