Ray Hallenbeck July 23, 1926 - April 12, 2017 Conway Conway…Ray Hallenbeck, age 90, of Bear Bluff Drive, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Hallenbeck was born in Colonie, New York, a son of the late Raymond Leslie and Mary Anna Kross Hallenbeck. He was predeceased by a sister, Muriel Coirin. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Jane Rainville Hallenbeck (Betty), two sons, Jonathan Edward Hallenbeck (Marilu) of Watertown, CT and Joel Stewart Hallenbeck of Torrington, CT, one daughter, Carolyn Leslie Curtiss (Roy) of Northfield, CT, and three grandchildren, Jordan Michael Hallenbeck, Leslie Allen Curtiss and Lydia Jane Curtiss. Mr. Hallenbeck was a Member of Good Hope Baptist Church where he served as Discipleship Training Leader and he so dearly loved the children, toddlers and the babies. He was a mason, Shriner and a U.S. Air Force Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. After retiring as Production Manager from Amphenol RF Connectors in Danbury, CT, he moved to Conway in 1989 and enjoyed every minute of it. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. John Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday at the church. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to their church family of Good Hope Baptist Church and the staff of InCare Hospice for the loving care they gave during Mr. Hallenbeck's illness.
