Randy joined the R.A. Mitchell American Legion Post 51 as a Son of the American Legion. There he held many positions in the Squadron. From 1991–1992, Randy became the New Hampshire Department Detachment Commander for the Sons of The American Legion. In October of 2008, Randy was instrumental in getting Post 51, an American Legion Riders Chapter, where he served as the first chapter director. All across the United States, the American Legion Riders bring the love of motorcycling to the Legion to aid in the fundraising for veterans charities. Randy is survived by his three children, Norman Marcotte, Brandy Marie Marcotte, Felecia Lynn Marcotte, and several grandchildren, as well as his father Norman Marcotte, sisters Pamela Glover and Deborah Woodward, many nieces and nephews.
