Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17 at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Randall Sherman Dye of Rainbow City. Mr. Dye passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017. The Rev. Charles Beshears and the Rev. Roger Collins will officiate. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of the services. Mr. Dye was a 1956 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. He served in the Air National Guard of Alabama. He attended Walnut Park Baptist Church. He retired from Sears as a service representative and from the Gadsden City School system. He is preceded in death by his wife; Lois Faye Dye, father; Melvin Sherman Dye, step mother; Lena Mae Dye, and sister; Kathy Walvert. He is survived by his children; Holli (Shawn) Hill, Heather Willingham, Phillip (Jessica) Dye, grandchildren; Katelyn, Seth, and Colby Hill, Joel Willingham, Jackson Pruett, Caleb Jacob and Liviya Dye, sister; Frenchie McEntyre and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bryan Little, Joel Willingham, Kevin Jones, Daniel McEntyre, Shawn Hill and Bruce Hill. Special thanks to Shephard's Cove Hospice, Dr. Erwin Peyton, Dr. Huang and Gentiva Home Health. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
