Ralph R. Schuetz
Ralph R. Schuetz, of Allison Park, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, the day after his 90th birthday, surrounded by family, at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford. Ralph was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., and was raised there. Ralph worked for Cities Service Oil Company in Chicago, where he met Marie (Martin), his beloved wife of 62 years. Together, they had three loving children, son, David (Sherri), daughter, Laura Forauer (Andrew), and son, Mark (Rebecca). He was the cherished and proud "Papa" of Ethan and Brendan Forauer, Katie, Matthew and Michael Schuetz, and Collin Schuetz. Ralph was preceded in death by his father and mother, Rudolph and Tillie (Strieter) Schuetz, and also by his brother, Roy Schuetz. Ralph was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church in McCandless. He volunteered at UPMC Passavant hospital for 20 years. Ralph served during World War II in the Army Air Force. He loved to fish and golf, and enjoyed supporting his grandchildren at their church, school and sporting events. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME INC., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, 412-364-4444, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m., followed by a private burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
