Rachel M. Gallagher Meier of Leominster; 89 LEOMINSTER -- Rachel M. (Kimbell) Gallagher Meier, 89, passed away on February 6, 2017 at River Terrace Rehab and Healthcare in Lancaster, MA. She died peacefully with her daughter at her side. Rachel was born in Stockbridge, GA on January 25, 1928, daughter of Thomas and Noni Kimbell. She was raised in Georgia until the age of 18 when she met Richard Gallagher of Leominster, MA while serving in the US Navy and stationed in Georgia. They married and moved to Leominster, MA. Rachel leaves two daughters, Brenda White and her husband, Richard of Maryland, Deborah Lill and her husband, Leslie of Fitchburg, two sons; Richard Gallagher and his wife Marie of Florida and Kevin Gallagher and his wife Robin, of Leominster. She also leaves ten granchildren; Mark and Matthew White, Traci Donlon, Andrew Andri, Ryan, Christopher, Michael, Patrick, Adam and Sean Gallagher. She leaves nine great- grandchildren, Ashley, Sydney and Jack White, Cody Ortiz, Sarah Donlon, Taylor, Mya, Sloane and Emerson Gallagher. Rachel worked at Woolworths in sales, Digital in Westminster and retired from Eusey Press in Leominster. Rachel was an avid reader, loved planting her fall and summer flowers, and her water aerobics class. She spent most of her time with her children and grandchildren. Rachel was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Gallagher, father of her children, second husband and two sisters. We would like to thank River Terrace Rehab and Healthcare for the care Rachel received and the support her family received. MEIER -- Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc. 109 West St., Leominster, MA, with a service at 11:00 am with the Rev. James Craig officiating. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 am to 11 am, prior to the service.
