Qamar J. Rehmani Ph.D.
Rehmani, PhD., Qamar J. Dec 21, 1951 - Oct. 2, 2016 Qamar Javed Rehmani, Ph.D., was born on December 21, 1951 in his parental home, in Bakshiwala, district Bijnor, U.P., India, to his late parents Fazl Ur Rehman and Nafisa Khatoon. He left his home early to receive his first set of education at St. Joseph's college in Nainital. He earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at The Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India. At the University of Texas, Houston, he was awarded his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Business Administration. He taught Business Administration at Boston University, Boston, MA, was Product Manager at Data General in Westboro, MA, before moving to Orlando and Sarasota. In Sarasota, at Argosy University, he was an associate professor of information systems, before starting his own company, JEQ Solutions. Professor Rehmani was a lifelong educator, global citizen and avid horticulturalist. He passed away after a visit to his late brother's house, tending lovingly to the garden they created together. He is preceded by his parents, Fazl Ur Rehman and Nafisa Khatoon, his brothers Mahmood Zafar, Marghoob Rehmani, Dr. Masood Z. Rehmani and sister Firdosi Rehmani. In deep sorrow are his wife, Johanna and his sons Enver and Jamal. Sisters Shahnaz Shah with husband Ehsan Shah; Qudsia Saeed with husband; sisters-in-law Kehkashan Zafar and Salma Rehmani; nieces Seema, Subuhi, Hina, Aisha and Sabaa: and newphews Ayaz, Saleem, Adnan, and Fazal will keep him in their hearts forever. He was very fond of and kept up with many friends from his time in Nainital and Kanpur and anyone who was interested in horticulture, science, humanitarian issues or global matters.
