Pierre F. Vanasse
Pierre F. Vanasse, 73, of Hudson, formerly of Marlboro, died on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Claire M. (Balthazar) Vanasse of Hudson. Pierre was born in Woonsocket, RI, son of the late H. Paul and Laurette (Begin) Vanasse. He was a 1962 graduate of Holy Name High School in Worcester. Pierre served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Era Veteran. He was employed as a purchasing manager by Fahey Exhibits for 25 plus years and was a member of Saint Michaels Parish in Hudson. Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Erika Keane of Milford and her children Rachel and Ryan, Mark Vanasse of Tucson, AZ and his children Elena and Isabel and Christine Gray and her husband John of Hudson along with their son Timothy. He also leaves his 3 sisters, Lillian Wentworth, Aline Kenney, Elizabeth McDaniel; his two brothers, Paul and Daniel Vanasse along with many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 20th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in I.C. Cemetery, Marlboro. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Wednesday, Oct. 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 ( www.tighehamilton.com ).
