Phyllis M. Petrarca
Phyllis M. Petrarca Phyllis M. Petrarca, 78, passed away Oct. 17, 2016. Phyllis was born in Akron to the late Sam and Virginia (Mariola) Flasco. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a graduate of North High School. She and her husband, Vincent raised their family in Mogadore. Being a good mother was the most important thing to her and her grandchildren brought her the most joy. Along with her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (Allyn) Rose and Mikki (Bill) Chris; grandchildren, Sylvia and Mark; sister, Laura Lee (Carmen) Ciccarelli; brother, Phillip (Darlene) Flasco; sister-in-law, Alberta Schumacher; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Stow Glen Retirement Village, Cherry Creek Acres and Western Reserve Hospital, especially the ICU Dept. for their compassion and care. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron with Rev. Father Edward Burba, Celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.). Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
