Dr. Phillip Leslie Redrick
Nov. 25, 1943 - Oct. 8, 2016 Dr. Phillip L. Redrick, one of Huntsville's foremost educators, administrators, historians and advocates passed away on Saturday October 8, 2016. Dr. Redrick was an Elder and member of Church Street Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America. He retired from Alabama A&M University in 2015. Funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 13th, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville. Interment was in Valhalla Memory Gardens. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dr. Pamela Webb Redrick; son, Phillip Lamont (Alicia) Redrick, Huntsville, AL; daughter, Ponchitta (Anthony) Redrick Goodrich, Riverdale, GA; son, B. Carlton (Christina) Bridgeforth, Decatur, AL; son, Kyle (Meaghan Pilarcik) Bridgeforth, Decatur, AL; three grandchildren, Ajani Jamal Redrick, Huntsville, AL, Jamin Pharrell Redrick, Huntsville, AL; Fenix Lee Goodrich, Riverdale, GA; two sisters, Nelda Faye Redrick McHenry and Beverly (Obie) Gay Redrick Robinson, Birmingham, AL; one brother, Ralph T. (Beverly) Redrick, Huntsville, AL; other family members: Valerie (Venard) Hendrix, Athens, AL; Demeterius (Loren) Webb, Blue Springs, MO; Marcus (Cynthia) Webb, Madison, AL; Jennifer (John) Small, St. Albans, NY; Louise Pendleton Larry, Bessemer, AL; Sam (Delois) Pendleton, Jr., Florence, AL, Nadine Pendleton, Bessemer, AL; Muriel Alvin Redrick, East Elmhurst, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
