Phillip E. Crawford
WILKES-BARRE — Phillip E. Crawford, 73, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Mountain Top, passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at the Golden Living Care Summit, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre in 1943, he was the son of the late Roy Stephen and Anna (Nagle) Crawford. He attended Crestwood High School and earned a degree from Luzerne County Community College. Phillip was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by American Can Company as a mechanical engineer in the graphics department, TicketMaster, Northeast Region, and was a Pennsylvania Constable, Wilkes-Barre. He belonged to the American Legion of Nuangola. Also preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Karen (Raeder) Crawford, in 2014; and brother, James Crawford. Surviving are his daughters, Karen Franklin and husband, John, Centermoreland, Lynne Greene and husband, Mark, Richmond, Va., and Lesley Crawford DiPinto, Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren, Keri and Derik Franklin, Stephen and Morgan Cox, and Ryleigh DiPinto; brothers, Charles Crawford and Roy Crawford (Linda); sisters, Charlotte Kordek (Ed), Elizabeth Gobla (Robert), Anne Crawford and Lenore Warman; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Albert Cemetery, Church Road, State Route 2047, Mountain Top, with the Rev. Laura Lewis officiating. Friends and family may call noon to service at the cemetery. Arrangements are by the Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
