Penny Manns, 75, of Sahuarita, Arizona, passed away on October 3, 2016. Penny was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Grace, who became known as "The Doll Lady" and Harry, who retired as Chief, Chicago Fire Department, then moved to Green Valley, Arizona. Penny graduated high school in Chicago and later attended community college in Tucson. From Chicago, she moved to Northern Wisconsin, where she lived and worked in the hospitality industry. After her children were grown, she made the move to Arizona to be near her parents. Penny pursued her passion in the hospitality industry, attended college and worked many years; She retired from the Arizona Family Restaurant~Easy Street Lounge. Before retiring, she met Paul, and she said, "Yes". They became the fun, happy, loving couple everybody admired. Full of energy, happiness, and contentment, the two stayed positively busy. She was involved with various activities and organizations. She was a past-president of the Elks Ladies, member of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary, a Red-Hatter, spent much time volunteering at local charities and events, she and her husband spent several summers in mountains as "Camp Hosts", and always put family and friends first. Penny is survived by her husband Paul, who walked beside her for 24 years. Having spun a childhood passion for music, art, dance and love, she was devoted to her family and her countless friends. She exceeded at being "Grammy", Mom and Wife. Penny's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are immeasurable and priceless; her love for them boundless. Her family grew prodigiously beyond number because she was loved so much that close friends eagerly became apart of her family. Penny's extended family is numberless and reside throughout the states. Penny was a beautiful woman who possessed love that is rare, and she shared it deeply. Her tremendous strength showed no matter what, as she always shined with her Big, Bright, Bubbly Penny~Smile. She was tenacious, always determined to lend a hand no matter what the situation or her own condition. Persistent, selfless and adhering closely, never readily relinquishing her purpose... Making others smile and happy. Penny's heart remained open, never dispelled. Her genuine smile, selflessness and grace, vivaciously made the world a much brighter place. Penny's splendor, her love; genuinely and compassionately, kindly and humbly, touched those she knew. Each person along her life's journey has been given a piece of her heart, whether family, a longtime friend, or somebody she just met at her local grocery store. What a divine blessing to have called Penny "my wife", "my mom", "my grammy", "my aunt", "my sister", "my daughter" or "my friend". She shall live on through smiles, happiness, and love; through endless, incredible, amazing, spectacular, adventurous, fun-loving, memories ~ Penny always loved to laugh! So remember her often, reflect on and celebrate Penny's bright, bubbly, beautiful life, and turn negative into positive every chance you get. She is and shall always be sorely missed by everyone. Celebration of Life honoring this amazing, wonderful, genuine, admired, compassionate, loving woman will be on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse, 15455 S. Camino Lago Azul. We will come together from 3 to 7 p.m. to hear music, sing, dance, eat, share stories, laugh, love, pray or whatever brings out the celebration in you. May you take a moment on this day to look up and smile, dance, sing, gather together, love and laugh a lot, no matter where you reside and no matter what time. Penny has left us a Legacy of Love, Kindness and Respect.
