Pedro (Pete) Pacheco 100, of Brighton, Colo., passed away Oct. 15, 2016. He was born Dec. 27, 1915 in Trujillo to Eloisa Lopez and Teodoro Pacheco. He moved to Colorado in 1946 and worked at the Colorado Fuel and Iron Corporation in Pueblo until he retired in 1968. After retirement he moved back to Trujillo then to Las Vegas. In 2012 he moved back to Colorado to be closer to his children. He was united in marriage in Las Vegas on Oct. 14, 1940 to Adelmira Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adelmira, who died in 1994; his longtime companion and friend, Jenny Garcia; his father, Teodoro Pacheco; mother Eloisa Pacheco, 11 brothers and sisters, and one grandson. A brother and a sister, Martin Pacheco and Lola Clifford survive Pete. Three daughters also survive him and their husbands, Alice Cress, husband Dan Cress, Connie Eussen, husband Jeff Eussen, of Brighton, Colo., Rose Thurman and companion Ira Imler of Durango, Colo. A son Fred Pacheco and wife, Dolores, of Pueblo, Colo., eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren also survive him. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church when he lived in New Mexico and a member of Saint Augustine when living in Brighton, Colo. Rosary devotional services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Friday also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow at San Isidro Cemetery in Trujillo with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as casket bearers. They are: Jerry Sander, Eric Cress, Pete (PJ) Pacheco, Ashton Cornett, Ronnie McKinney, Robbie Coffin, and Cody Coffin. Visit www.nelsonfunearlhomelv.com for online condolences.
