Pauline Daniels, age 80, of Troy passed away Oct. 15, 2016 at her home. Funeral services were held 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Silex with Ryan Bibb officiating. Burial was held Wednesday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. at the Elsberry City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4– 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Pauline was born Sept. 13, 1936, in Silex the daughter of Patrick F. and Osie Luck Meuth. On July 29, 1955 in Elsberry she married Claude Edward Daniels. He preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2012. Survivors include two sons Pat Daniels and wife Mary of Silex, and Mark Daniels of Troy; eleven grandchildren Angie Thornhill, Nikki Hough, Patrick Daniels, Page O'mara, Alexis Daniels, Mark Daniels, Claude Daniels, Henry Daniels, Frank Daniels, Pauline Daniels and Kevin Daniels; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-father William Clem; great granddaughter Lilley Thornhill; brother Heine Meuth; one sister and two brothers in infancy. Pauline grew up in Silex and graduated from Silex High School. She worked at a garment factory in Troy and then worked at Monsanto as a processing technician for 36 years before retiring. She loved fishing, enjoyed watching local teams play baseball and basketball and also enjoyed watching baseball and basketball on TV. Pauline was a bowler and bowled in many leagues. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
