Paul M. Crawn
LeRAYSVILLE, Pa. - Paul M. Crawn, 79, of LeRaysville, Pa. Passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, at his home. Born Nov. 13, 1936 in Scranton, Pa., he was the son of the late Paul M. Sr., and Edna C. (Rech) Crawn. A graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a master's degree in biology, he was a biology teacher in Newton at Newton High School and at Kittatinny Regional High School, where he also served as the Science Department chairman. He was also the advisor of the Chess Club. Paul served in the Army Reserves in late 1950s. He was a member of Neath Welsh Congregation Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, elder, pulpit search committee and preached as needed. He was an amateur radio operator and was part of the Civil Defense during hurricane Diane when it devastated the Delaware Water Gap. He was an Eagle Scout and licensed life guard who enjoyed hunting deer and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marian (Fee) Crawn, of LeRaysville, Pa.; sons and daughter-in-law Alan Crawn, of LeRaysville, Pa., and Paul and Jamie Crawn, of Ottsville, Pa.; granddaughters Josie, CC, and Maisie; and several cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the Neath Welsh Congregational Church in LeRaysville, Pa. Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at the church.
