Paul Lynn Courter, 73, of Crestline, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Ashland under the care of Hospice of North Central Ohio. Lynn was born in Bucyrus on August 7, 1943, to the late Paul L. and Mildred E. (Tischer) Courter. Lynn attended North Robinson High School. He was employed at PPG Works #26, Crestline in the maintenance Dept. for forty years. Lynn served his country in the U.S. Navy, from 1961 to 1964 and was proud to be a Seabee. Lynn was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post #1979, American Legion Scarborough Post 243, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #630, Loyal Order of Moose #303, all of Galion. He loved spending time at Lake Erie and going fishing and also enjoyed playing cards. He is survived by his brother and sisters; Jack and Corrine Courter, Plymouth, Jean and John Blackford, FL and Linda and Jerry Laipply, Bucyrus, step-son, Tim and Janet Schultz, nieces and nephews, Thom (Cim) Tupps, Terry (Terri) Tupps, Tracy (Martin) Dzugan, Michelle (Jym) Quitter, Todd (Rochelle) Laipply, Craig (Connie) Courter, Tanya (Heather) Tupps and several great nieces and nephews. At Lynn's request, no funeral services will be held and his body was donated to The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Division of Anatomy, for medical education and research. Memorial contributions may be made to any of the above local organizations, Hospice of North Central Ohio or the activity fund at Good Shepard Nursing Home in Ashland in care of the funeral home.
