Paul E. Bishopric
Paul E. Bishopric, passed away on October 9, 2016, his 94th birthday, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Westfield to the late Frances (Parmenter) and William Bishopric. Paul proudly served the US Navy during WWII. He was in the Normandy Invasion. He was a Third Class Engineer at the former Western Mass Electric Company, now known as Eversource. Paul was a lifetime member of the Elm Belcher Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies of Springfield and the Shriners Melha Temple, as well as a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of W. Spfld. where he served as deacon. He served on the original building committee of the current church and many other committees as well. Paul was the beloved husband, for 69 years, of Eleanor (Stephenson) Bishopric, loving father of Janet Jueckstock, grandfather of Alexandria Jueckstock and great-grandfather of Adam Bello Jueckstock all of W. Spfld., his brother Charles Bishopric of FL and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Gretchen Latourelle, Ruth Diegel and Dorothy Stark and his brother, Dwight Bishopric. There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church, 337 Piper Road, W. Spfld. Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
