Pansy Irene (Seals) Maloney, 82, born July 12, 1934, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 10, 2016. She was saved at an early age and was a loving and faithful member of Yellow Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Pansy was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed entertaining others by cooking and conversation. Her favorite pastime was quilting. "And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not, she is not dead, but sleepeth." Luke 8:52. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Mary Porter Seals; husband, Elmer Maloney; grandson, Michael Paul Maloney; brothers, Lloyd and Dean Seals; and sisters, Ruby Mullins and Laura Jones. Survivors include her children, Rick Maloney, Joyce (Sam) Helton, Mike (Mona) Maloney, Robert (Crystal) Maloney and Jerry (April) Maloney; grandchildren, Richard, Jennifer, Mark, Amy, Brooke, Gage, Isaiah, Alia, Alyssa, Ashley and Ethan; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray, Charles, and Don Seals; sisters, Billy Standifer and Kay Maloney; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at Hancock Manor Nursing Home, Amedysis and Dr. John Short. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at McNeil Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at McNeil Funeral Home chapel with the Reverends Jack Gibson and Alonzo Collins officiating. The interment will follow in the Maloney-Odell Cemetery. Singing will be Crystal Maloney; pallbearers will be Jimmy Maloney, Richard Maloney, Mark Helton, Gage Maloney, Ethan Maloney and Isaiah Maloney. Arrangements by McNeil Funeral Home.
