A funeral service for Mrs. Ora Mae "Okie" Mullendore, 85, will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Eulaton First Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Huddleston officiating the service. The family will receive friends on the same day from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Mullendore passed away on October 12, 2016, at her home. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gene Mullendore; sons, Roy Mullendore (Donna), Stephen Mullendore (Elizabeth) and Timothy Mullendore (Kim); grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, Kelly Simpson, Brooke Reeves, William Mullendore, Anna Whittaker, Merril Ann Mullendore, Tiffany Bates and Cory Cosby; great- grandchildren, Lilliana, Hannah, Luke, Stephen, Chase, Owen, Zane, Jace, Aiden and AnnaLeigh; sisters, Billie Clark and Peggy Royce Gonsalves, and a host of extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Roy and Lilla Mae Owens, and sisters, Imogene McKelwee and Dorothy Cummings. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mrs. Mullendore graduated from Jacksonville State University with a B.S. in Secondary Education. She then went to the University of Alabama where she graduated with a Master's in Education. She taught in the Anniston City School System for 25 years before she retired. She was an active member of Eulaton First Baptist Church.
