Opal Jean Lewis, 81, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. She was born March 13, 1935, in Hart County to the late Wade and Lucy Ada Milby Gibson. She was a member of Mount Zion Separate Baptist Church and a retired dietician for Fort Knox civil service with many years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, Donald "Cuz" (Sue) Waggoner and Ronnie Waggoner, all of Hodgenville; two daughters, Laura Ellen (Neal) Price and Sharlene Waggoner, all of Magnolia; three sisters, Deloris (L.D.) Wheeler of Magnolia, Devada (Leonard) Jefferies of Louisville and Norma Jo (Shelby) Clopton of Magnolia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral for Opal Jean Lewis is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Mount Zion Separate Baptist Church in Magnolia with Brothers Gerald Gardner and James Crim officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 Lincoln Blvd. William R.
