Norman Louis Myers, 86 WELLS - Norman Louis Myers, 86, of Wells, died Jan. 4, 2017, following a period of declining health. Norman was born on Nov. 9, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Otto and Eleanor (Watson) Myers. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On Feb. 12, 1955, Norman married Flora M. Chute. He worked for many years driving trucks. Norman enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed music and was a great piano player, having learned to play by ear from his mother. In addition to his parents, Norman was predeceased by his brothers, Bud, Dan, George, Bill and Jim; his sisters, Alice Stack and Helen Gallant; and his son, Bruce Lee Myers. Norman is lovingly remembered by his wife, Flora; his sons, Norman Lewis Myers and his wife, Heidi May, of Wells; Mark Anthony Myers and his wife, Barbara, of Sanford; George Walter Myers, of Wells; and Wayne Robert Myers and his wife, Jacqueline, of Wells; his daughters, Tammy Meads and her husband, Peter, of Wells; and Sheena Marie Myers, of Biddeford; his sisters, Ruth Keene and her husband, Bob, of Portsmouth, N.H.; and Kaye Cannon, of East Hampton, Connecticut; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Rd., Wells. Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel.
