Nona Fleming was born on August 30, 1937, in Alameda, CA, was raised in Sacramento, CA, but spent the last 38 years in the Fresno, CA area. Nona's first job was at KCRA Channel 3 in Sacramento in 1955, before the station went on the air. Nona married Bob Flemming in May of 1959, and they had two children. Nona was active in many social circles and an advocate for various non profit charities. She worked in radio and television advertising and was the publisher of the Bingo Bugle newspaper. She also enjoyed attending jazz festivals. She and Bob were avid Fresno State Bulldog fans and developed a close network of friends with the group they traveled with. She is survived by her brother, Ken Hall; daughter, Laurel Boylan; her son, Bob Flemming; and eight grandchildren, Mary, Danika, Misha, Dima, Sean, McKenna, Valerie, and Jaidin. A Memorial Service for Nona will be held at the Church of Shaver Lake on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 12:00 noon.
