In memory of
Nick "Pete" Furlan: 93 years old of Antioch, IL passed away peacefully, Monday January 9, 2017. He was born October 11, 1923 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Martin and Matilda (Furlan) Furlan, living on the family farm in Antioch since 1937. Pete proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Pete dedicated his life to working the family dairy farm, and enjoyed raising and training homing pigeons. Survivors include: three siblings: Mike (Dorothy) Furlan of Hoffman Estates, IL, Mary (the late Donald) Satkas of Burr Ridge, IL, and Catherine (the late Joseph) Mogavero of Villa Park, IL; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and friends. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by eight siblings: John, Martin, Ann, Nick, Louis, Stephen, Ann, Henry and Thomas Furlan. Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 Noon Saturday January 14, 2017 at St. Peter Church 557 Lake St. Antioch, IL 60002. Interment with military honors will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch, IL. Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until 11:30AM Saturday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002.
