Nelson Charles Dymond suffered a heart attack and died Monday, April 10, 2017. He had recently moved to Lancaster from Washington state to be closer to his kids and grandkids. He was born in Beaumont, to Nelson J. and Althea (Vopleus) Dymond. In 1962, he graduated from Dallas High School and was married to Linda (Schoonover) Dymond from 1963-1977. They had two children. Nelson was a printer by trade and worked at Llewellyn & McCain for many years. He married Susan (Johnson) Dymond in 1980, and they spent almost 30 years together. Nelson's father died in 2002 and when his mother became ill, he lovingly cared for her until her death in 2008. He was passionate about photography and guns. Surviving are his daughter, Lisa Dawn Dymond and her children, Tyler Moses, Morgan Moses, and Ravyn Burkholder; and his son, Dana Nelson Dymond; his wife, Wendy Jo; and his son, Brandon Dymond. He is also survived by his younger brother, Kenneth C. and his wife, Roseann; and niece, Kimberly Dymond Balogh, wife of Aaron. Nelson's beloved dog, Peaches, is living with Dana. The family will conduct a private memorial at a future date and will spread his ashes on the Blue Ridge Parkway according to his wishes.
