NANCY E. SULLIVAN
DES PLAINES - Nancy E. Sullivan, 83, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on January 10, 2017. Nancy was born on December 12, 1933 in Chicago to Eleanor (Hubbs) and John Schaffer. A lifetime Chicagoland resident, she was a graduate of Saint Scholastica High School. In 1958, she became the loving wife of Edward J. Sullivan. She was mother to three daughters: Therese (Mark) Stoyas, Susan (Robert) Zapinski and Mary (Winn) Soldani. She was grandmother of 10: Nick, Andy, Colleen, Kelly, Kevin, Jenny, Catie, Joey, Lily, and Jake. Nancy worked at a number of Chicagoland companies in customer service roles. During her career and after her great passion was her family. Her house was eternally full of children, grandchildren, her sisters and brother and her many nieces and nephews. She cherished the holidays and the togetherness they would bring. Her other great passion was travel. Nancy and Ed traveled extensively together throughout Europe and the US. Nancy always found time to bring all of her family souvenirs no matter the destination. Visitation Sunday, January 15 from 2:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, IL. Viewing on Monday at St. Zachary Catholic Church, 567 W.
