Nancy Ann Cunning Penman
Nancy Ann Cunning Penman, 80, died Tuesday at Golden Living Center, Scranton. Born Oct. 24, 1936, Nancy had a strong love of God, family and country. She enjoyed reading, gardening and preparing homemade foods for her family. She also loved to travel by train, and crossed North America by rail many times. Surviving are five sons, Robert E. Penman Jr. and wife, Sandra; Larry A. Penman and wife, Celine; Michael J. Penman and wife, Cynthia; James S. Penman; and Jonathan R. Penman and wife, Ruth; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward M. McIlvaine; and sister, Margaret G. Cunning. A gathering of remembrance will be held Saturday at noon in Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, 3779 Pitt St., Schellsburg, Pa. Interment will follow at the Schellsburg and Chestnut Ridge Union Cemetery, Schellsburg. Relatives and friends may pay their respects Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
