Milton L. Smith
Milton Lee Smith, 84, passed away Tuesday at Heritage Hall in Agawam. He was born in Gainesville, GA to the late Tommie (Hix) and Ernest Smith. Milton worked at Perkins Machine Gear and later at Jet Tool in Agawam. He was a communicant of the former St. Theresa’s Church. Milton was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting and gardening. Milton leaves his beloved wife Elaine (Paro) Smith of 67 years, his loving children, Alan Smith and his wife Diane of Blandford, Robert Smith and his wife Judy of Melbourne, FL, Diane Rys of Ludlow, Nancy Barlow of Agawam and Gary Smith and his wife Sandy of Portland, CT, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his siblings, Clayton, Bobby, Margie, Linda and Barbara Sue. He was predeceased by his siblings, George, Alice, Dewey, Billy and Martha. The funeral will be Saturday 9AM at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld., followed by a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street. The burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 -7PM.
