Milton A. Bristol
Jerry (Milton) Bristol died December 18, 2015 at home in Twisp, WA. Jerry was born in Waterbury, CT on July 27, 1939. He leaves behind Josephine, his wife of 49 years, and their two daughters: Hilary Bristol of New Britain, CT and Katie Bristol of Twisp, WA. Additional family members include a sister, Bonnie (and Dick) Leavenworth of CT and a brother, Peter (and Joanna) Bristol of RI, as well as multiple cousins throughout New England. Jerry worked at the Hartford Hilton Hotel and Worsley Oil Company in Marlborough for over 25 years. Jerry had an enthusiasm for hiking and appreciation of the wilderness. He trekked in Nepal and even named their first daughter after Sir Edmund Hillary. When they moved to the Methow Valley in WA they explored the Cascade and Sawtooth Mountain ranges with their daughter Katie. Later in life Jerry found a valued friend and fellow voyager, Don Reddington. They were traveling a similar pathway, and became like brothers. Jerry and the Bristol family contributed to Don's series of articles, "Living with Alzheimer's". He was a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by family and many friends on both coasts. There will be an interment at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport, CT at 11:00 am on Saturday October 22, 2016.
