Mildred Jeanette Liparoto July 5, 1919- February 12, 2017 Columbus, Georgia- Jean Liparoto , passed away peacefully on February 12, 2017 at the age of 97. She lived a long and blessed life and was surrounded by friends and family when she departed this earth. Mrs. Liparoto was born July 5th 1919 in Vinncennes Indiana to the late Dennis Richardville and the late Ella Mae White Richardville. Her upbringing during the Great Depression taught her the values of faith, family, and love of country. For almost 30 years she supported her husbands military career from duty station to duty station. She dedicated her life to the Christian upbringing of her children and grandchildren while tending to her home. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She devoted 59 years of her life to supporting her church. She served as president of The Parish Council of Catholic Women, and taught Sunday School. She was also devoted to veteran's causes. Her late husband Phillip Liparoto was a veteran of WW2, Korea , and Vietnam. Together, they spent many years as active members of the Disabled American Veterans, The American Legion, The Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Along with her parents, she is proceeded in death by her late husband SFC (Retired) Phillip Anthony Liparoto, a daughter Elizabeth Liparoto, as well as 12 brothers and sisters. Left to Charish her memory are Her son Phillip Liparoto JR of Los Angeles California, Daughter Karen Evans of Krotz Springs Louisiana, Daughter Regina Liparoto of Columbus Ga, and Daughter Katherine Schell of Perry Ga, 7 grandchildren and a very large extended family of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all.
