Michael K. McPike
Michael K. McPike, 68, of Bradenton, Florida passed away unexpectedly at home on August 3, 2016. He was born in Reading Pennsylvania to the late Paul M. McPike and Carolyn M. McPike. He was raised in Belvidere, NJ and graduated from Belvidere High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in Vietnam from 1969- 1970 with the elite HAL 3 Navy Seawolves. He flew 530 missions as a Seawolf. Mike served his country with pride and often said "I'd do it again in a minute." Mike was a true hero. Following his service, he worked as a master carpenter settling in Carrales, New Mexico where he had many treasured friends. He enjoyed and restored a 1952 MG and a 1958 Harley Davidson pan head motorcycle. Mike loved riding his Harley, his many collections and most of all his good friends. He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. Surviving are his beloved mother Carolyn M. McPike, his sister Patricia Paye and her husband Bill of Bradenton, FL; Nephews and Nieces Stephen Stout of Hellertown, PA, Michael Paye and Julie Paye, 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces all of Bradenton, FL. Services will be private.
