Michael K. Farrell
Michael Keane Farrell of Plymouth, formerly of Melrose and Plympton, passed away unexpectedly on October 15, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, with his family at his side. Michael leaves his wife, Judith "Judy" (Riehl) Farrell of Plymouth. He was the father of Kelly Macleod of Lakeville, Theresa Farrell-Miranda of Plymouth, Stacia Draper of Plymouth and Michael Keane Farrell Jr. of Calif.; brother of Mary Ellen Snavely of Kingston, Kathy Halaiko of Fla., Tricia Burke of Plympton and Dan Farrell of Ariz. He also leaves 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Michael was born in Boston, the son of William and Mildred (Keane) Farrell. He graduated from Silver Lake High School and Northeastern University in Boston. Michael was a Physical Education teacher and baseball coach at Hanover High School and owner of Farrell Flooring in Plymouth. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family. Michael served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years during the Vietnam War. Visiting hours will be held at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Tuesday, October 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church in Duxbury, Wednesday, October 19, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne.
