Michael Da'Shon Eargle Elizabeth High School football standout, rapper, videographer, father and son Michael Da'Shon Eargle, 28, of Elizabeth, N.J., affectionately known as "Dashie," departed this life suddenly on April 11, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at the Elizabeth Public Schools Dunn Sports Center, 151 Pearl St., Elizabeth. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Arrangements are in the loving care of the Nesbitt Funeral Home, 165 Madison Ave., Elizabeth. Michael attended the Elizabeth Public Schools and graduated in 2007 from Elizabeth High School, where he had an extensive and successful athletic career as a quarterback who led his team to winning the State Championship in 2006 in his senior year. Because of his talent, dedication and perseverance, he received many awards, trophies, honors, and accolades throughout his lifetime, including full scholarships to colleges, Lackawanna College, Scranton, Pa., and Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. He was a rapper with many YouTube videos under the name of "Katt Rollin." He was a self-taught and self-made photographer, videographer, and loved making music videos. He also played a role in the web series "Mayhem." Michael was employed by the Housing Authority, City of Elizabeth. He leaves to cherish his legacy and memory, his mother, Sharon Smith, and his father, Michael Eargle Sr.; his son, Mehki Eargle; paternal grandmother, Beulah Eargle, and maternal grandfather, Edison Exum; his companion, Alexandra Hockenbury, who is pregnant with his unborn child, Mason; along with his godparents, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly.
