Melva Lou Hunter was received home into the presence of Our Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Melva was born to Nathan and Lourena Dildine on March 20, 1928, in Dunsmuir, CA. She was the fifth of six children, and spent most of her growing up years in Caruthers, CA, attending schools and church there. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service from which she retired in 1993. Melva was preceded in death by her husband; her sisters, Mary Oehlschlaeger, and Evelyn Cook; and her brother, William Dildine. She is survived by her brothers, George Dildine, and Nathan Dildine. She is also survived by her four children and their spouses, Owen and Janice Hunter, Chip and Lourena Coker, Clifford and Sheila Hunter, and Clint and Laura Hunter. Melva also has eight beloved grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Our family expresses appreciation to Apricot Mornings, who lovingly cared for our mother; and to Optimal Hospice.
