Mary "Fran" Zupancic, 72, of Scranton, died at home Saturday. She was born in Scranton, daughter of the late Paul and Rose Matusiak Zupancic. She was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish. She was employed by Charles Ruttew Agency, Insurance Management Services, Mark Agency. Most recently, she was a public transportation account executive agent for Mark Agency, a division of Chamberlin & Reinheimer Insurers. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and Lackwanna Junior College. She belonged to Insurance Woman Association. Mary loved working everyday. She loved having family dinners, and anyone was welcome to sit at the table. Mary loved to travel and play bingo and pinochle. Her laugh was contagious and her sense of humor would brighten a room. She is called "Aunt Fran" to so many. Surviving are a brother, Paul, with who she resided, and his companion, Patty Johnson; two nieces, Jennifer Lynn and Katie Rose Zupancic; and was an aunt to Joseph Frank and Ashley Johnson, and their children. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Paul. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 at the Divine Mercy Church, Davis Street, Scranton, by the Rev. Francis Pauselli. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Arrangements by the Jacob Davis Funeral Home, 422 South Main St., Taylor.
