Mary Soltis Kenilworth resident since the 1950s, great-grandmother Mary E. Soltis, (nee Dec), 98, of Kenilworth, N.J., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at home. Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, N.J., on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at 9:45 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa R.C. Church in Kenilworth at 11 a.m. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. She was a head housekeeper for the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth for many years. Mary was a member of the Rosary Altar Society at St. Theresa's Church in Kenilworth. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, John N. Soltis. Surviving are five loving children, Ronald and his wife, Patricia, John and his wife, Jossie, Kenneth and his wife, Lynn, Christina Harms and her husband, Loren, and Mary Rapolas and Kenneth Hoefling; a dear brother, Joseph Dec; 13 cherished grandchildren; 20 adored great-grandchildren; and her faithful caregiver, the blessing in her everyday life, Precious.
