Mary Louise (Baranesky) Ruffing, of Monroe, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016. Born Oct. 8, 1938, in McKeesport, she attended Clairton High School and The College of Notre Dame in Maryland, graduating with a math degree and minors in chemistry and religious studies. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Regis; her three children, Melinda Ruffing, of Virginia, Marcia (James) Kania and their daughters, Casey and Jordan, of New Hampshire, and Regis (Tonia and her sons, Raymond and Devin) Ruffing, of New York; sister, JoAnn (Joseph) Sharkey; sisters-in-law, Leota Ruffing, Jean Ruffing and Kathleen (Chick) Yaksick; brother-in-law, Ronald Ruffing; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary (Kraynak) Baranesky. Family and friends will be received at the STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Route 51 (Large), Jefferson Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church Elizabeth.
