McLEAN, Mary Elizabeth Of Norfolk passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 12, 2017. She was the beloved wife of David R. McLean and is survived by him, her three devoted children, Tracey Salkovitz and her husband, Frank, of Norfolk; Tara Regish and her husband, Paul, of Hadley; and Leah McLean of South Boston, as well as her five grandchildren, David and Jenna Salkovitz, and Kathleen, Alison, and Megan Regish. Born in Hyannis, Mary went to Barnstable High School and received her B.F.A from Regis College and her M.Ed from Boston State. She also earned a Certified Decorative Artist Award from the Society of Decorative Painters. Mary began her career as an art teacher in the public school system and later opened her own studio. She traveled across the country to teach special seminars and at national conventions. Her work has been featured in national publications, and she was the proud author of several books. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, January 15th, 4-7 p.m. at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, WRENTHAM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 16th, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham. Burial will follow at Wrentham Center Cemetery. Mary requested that all wear bright colors to her wake and funeral in celebration of her life.
