Mary Ann Magill left this world Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Greenwood Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, 76107. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Altamesa Church of Christ, 4600 Altamesa Blvd., Fort Worth, 76133. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Southwest Christian School or the library at Liberty Elementary School. Mary was born May 14, 1939, in Fairview, Ark. In 1957, she moved to Fort Worth and met her husband, William Thomas "Dub" Magill, and began raising a family in Southwest Fort Worth. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, selfless mother and grandmother. Her love of people and especially children were evident through her service at Southwest Christian School for over 20 years and Altamesa Church of Christ nursery for almost 30 years. Through her service, she demonstrated the love of Christ and touched the lives of so many, while achieving her goal of a providing Christian heritage for her sons. We are called to be set apart in this world, and she was. As you go through life and as time passes, people may forget you; however, they will never forget how you made them feel. We will never forget Mary and how she made us feel; "ye shall know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:16) She is in paradise with our Lord and Savior today, "Well done my good and faithful servant!"--Matthew 25:21. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Pete T. Vandergriff and Mary E. Collatt Vandergriff; husband, William Thomas Magill; sisters, Dorothy Bird, Lorene Yates, Virgina Rowland and Lucy Coulson; and brothers, James Vandergriff and Pete Vandergriff. Survivors: Brother, Charles Vandergriff; sons, Thomas Michael Magill and wife, Susan, and William Mark Magill and wife, Dayle; grandchildren, Christopher McMahan, Chelsea McMahan, Molly Magill, William Magill, Amy Magill, Lucy Magill, William Mark Magill II and Dru Magill; and a granddaughter on the way.
