Mary Lou Luckett was born in Baltimore, MD to Mary Martin Young and the late James L. Young. She attended Severna Park High School, graduating Class of 1969. After completing high school, she began a four year apprenticeship with Capital Newspaper to receive her Journeyman license. She worked for Capital Newspaper for 25 years, and also worked for the Washington Star Newspaper in Washington, DC. She later worked for many years as a licenses real estate agent for Town Center Real Estate in Cape St. Claire and Long & Foster. She had been active in 4-H Horse Programs with her daughters for many years and loved showing dogs and going to horse shows with her daughters. She also loved camping, traveling and antiquing. She was a member of Centreville United Methodist Church. She and her husband Eugene, have two children, Donna Murphy and Nicole Luckett Bishop; and three grandchildren, Jessica Trott, Samuel Quick, and Desiree Murphy. She has one brother, James L. Young. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Centreville, MD. A service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11 am at the Centreville United Methodist Church in Centreville, MD. Burial will follow in Chesterfield Cemetery.
